Donald McCollister Showers was born August 25, 1919 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Charles N. Showers (1888- 1973) and Hedwig Marie Potratz (1889 -1980). He preferred to be called “Mac,” an abbreviation of his middle name, McCollister, his paternal grandmother’s maiden name.

CTRCM(IW/SW) Eddy Mejias assumed the duties and responsibilities of Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) of Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station (IWTC CS) on May 4, 2014. He will relinquish CSEL responsibilities next week to CMDCM Joanne Gibson. For over three years, CTRCM Mejias served faithfully the office of Command Master Chief for over 500 staff and 30,000 students. He plans on retiring March 16, 2018 after a very fruitful 30 year career of dedicated service to the United States Navy. He plans on finishing his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and pursuing a career in ministerial social services in the Pensacola area.
