Honoring CNOCM (SW/AW) Carol A. Cooper

Master Chief Cooper was born on August 21, in Ashland, Ohio. She grew up in Louisiana and graduated from high school.  After a year of college she enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

A Study of MAC Address Randomization in Mobile Devices and When it Fails (Guest Post)

Faculty and student researchers, consisting of current and recently graduated US Naval Academy Midshipmen, published the paper “A Study of MAC Address Randomization in Mobile Devices and When it Fails”.  The paper was accepted at the Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium (PETS 2017).  Students and faculty presented the research in July to conference attendees.  Three of these students recently completed the Cryptologic Warfare Officer Basic Course in Pensacola, FL. Here is their work.

Honoring RADM Andrew M. Singer, 41st Commander to lead the Naval Security Group Command

Commissioned through Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island, Rear Admiral Singer reported to USS MIDWAY (CV-41) in Yokosuka, Japan in February 1978. He was designated a Surface Warfare Officer October 1, 1978.
