Remembering SGT Robert Hrisoulis, USMC, KIA South Vietnam

        SGT Robert Hrisoulis, USMC               November 27, 1950 – January 21, 1971

Born in Detroit, Michigan, SGT Robert Hrisoulis was born on November 27, 1950.  He was assigned to the OPS CO, 1st Radio Battalion, III Marine Amphibious Force.  His MOS/Specialty was 2571: Special Radio Operator (aka: CTO).

Remembering CAPT William McGonagle, USN, CO USS LIBERTY

                                 CAPT William McGonagle                                   November 19, 1925 – March 3, 1999

William McGonagle was born November 19, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas. After attending secondary school and college in California, he enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and for the next three years participated in a Navy training program at the University of Southern California.

Officer Who Broke Japanese War Codes Gets Belated Honor!


CAPT Joe Rochefort’s son Joseph Jr. and daughter Janet are awarded the Distinguished Service medal on behalf of their father by President Reagan in 1986.
