Today, Captain Danny Noles was relieved by Captain Robert Damsky as Commanding Officer, Farragut Technical Analysis Center.  Captain Robert Damsky’s biography follows:

Captain Robert Damsky is a native of New York City and graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida with a B.S. in Business Administration in April 1992. He enlisted in the Navy in October 1992 as a Cryptologic Technician (Collection). After Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Illinois, he attended CTR “A” school in Ft. Devens, Massachusetts with follow on training in Pensacola, Florida.

His first duty assignment was as a Direct Support Operator from Naval Security Group Activity, Rota, Spain from 1994 to 1996 where he deployed on various platforms with Special Warfare teams in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Persian Gulf. He was selected to attend Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida and was commissioned as a Cryptologic Officer in March 1997 after a brief period at NSGA, Bahrain in 1996.

After initial Cryptologic Officer training, he was assigned to NSA at Ft. Meade, Maryland from 1997 to 2000 where he deployed to Bosnia with the 1st AD and to Kosovo with the 1st ID.

CAPT Damsky was then assigned as the first Electronic Warfare Officer/Information Warfare Officer onboard USS HOWARD (DDG 83) from 2001 to 2003. He subsequently attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California from 2003 to 2005 where he graduated with a M.S. in Systems Engineering and a minor in Computer Science.

His next assignment was to Naval Network Warfare Command, Ft. Meade, Maryland where he worked as a SIGINT Requirements Department Head from 2005 to 2008. While there, he was deployed to Ramadi, Iraq as a Battalion Electronic Warfare Officer assigned to Joint Crew Composite Squadron One where he conducted Counter IED operations in support of OIF.

CAPT Damsky was then assigned to the Pentagon from 2008 to 2011 in the Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities shop under OPNAV N6 and was selected to be the Executive Assistant to OPNAV N2/N6F from 2009 to 2011.

He then served as the Deputy Information Warfare Commander (N39) for Carrier Strike Group Five / CTF 70 homeported in Yokosuka, Japan from 2012 to 2014 and was permanently embarked onboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) where he deployed throughout the Western Pacific AOR.

CAPT Damsky reported to Navy Information Operations Command, Hawaii as the XO from 2014 to 2015. Following his XO tour, he then assumed Command of NIOC Yokosuka, Japan from 2015 to 2017.

In his most recent tour, he served as the section head for Intel Ops in the J2 staff for the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe (SACEUR) in Mons, Belgium from November 2017 to May 2020.

He is a qualified Surface Warfare Officer, Fleet Marine Force Officer, and Information Warfare Officer. His personal awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (4), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (2), Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Good Conduct Medal, and various unit and campaign medals.

CAPT Damsky is married to wife, Emma, and they have two children.
