Today, Commander Michael J. Herlands was relieved by Commander Chuck Hall as Commanding Officer, Navy Information Operations Command Colorado. Commander Hall’s biography follows:

CDR Chuck Hall is a native of Westfield, New Jersey. He enlisted in the Navy in 1988 and was later commissioned in 2001. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies and Regional Security from American Military University and a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
Operational assignments since commissioning include EP-3E ARIES II Special Evaluator at NIOC Bahrain and NIOC Rota, Ship’s Cryptologist aboard USS NASSAU (LHA 4), Information Operations detachment Officer in Charge at Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Cryptologic Resource Coordinator at Carrier Strike Group EIGHT, SIGINT Technical Director at Naval Special Warfare Development Group, and Deputy Information Warfare Commander at Carrier Strike Group EIGHT.
Ashore, Hall served as Executive Officer, NIOC Colorado and was a member of the Halsey BRAVO Advanced Research Group while enrolled at the Naval War College. CDR Hall assumed command of NIOC Colorado in May 2019.
