Lt. Cmdr. Corey O. Grey, United States Navy
Lt. Cmdr. Corey Grey, a native of Central Florida, graduated with merit from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College and is a qualified Warfare Tactics Instructor.
Duties afloat include service at the unit level as a Submarine Warfare Officer on USS VIRGINIA (SSN 774) where he executed a deployment in the Eastern European area of responsibility. At the fleet level, he currently serves as the Cryptologic Resource Coordinator for Commander, U.S. Seventh Fleet embarked on USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), performing three Pacific-area patrols.
Ashore, he performed duties as the Senior Watch Officer and Department Head for the Fleet Information Operations Center at Cryptologic Warfare Maritime Activity SIXTY ONE (CWMA-61) and as the Commander Submarine Group Seven/CTF-54/CTF-74 Staff Cryptologist.
Lt. Cmdr. Grey is a recipient of the Copernicus Award for Information Warfare, AOC Navy Service Award for Electronic Warfare, USNI Naval Intelligence Essay contest, Meritorious Service Medal, the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation, Presidential Unit Citation, and Japan’s foreign military honor: the Defense Cooperation ribbon
