I first met Bob Little while serving at NSGA Misawa, Japan. We were both assigned to the 51 Division, the Manual Morse Intercept Division. At the time, I was a CTRSA, and Bob was a CTR2, serving as the division training officer.
He was the first person to ask me about my short- and long-term goals, a conversation that left a lasting impression on me. Before his assignment in Misawa, Bob had served at NSGA Homestead, FL, and NSGA Charleston, SC. After his tour in Misawa, he transferred to NSGA Pearl Harbor, and a few years later, I was also stationed there. We both worked in the Direct Support Division, deploying on surface ships throughout the Pacific.
Following our time at Pearl Harbor, we went our separate ways but eventually crossed paths again at NTTC Corry Station. Bob had an extended tour there due to an illness and ultimately retired as a Chief Petty Officer.
Bob was a dear friend, and I loved him. His loss will be deeply felt.
Bob was married with two children.
Sincerely, Mario

I had the pleasure of serving with Bob Little during my tour at NSGA Homestead in the mid to late 1970’s. We were both assigned to the Morse Collection Division. Bob was always a dedicated and professional sailor. He greeted you with a smile, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a friend to all. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP shipmate.
