Snell’s Law, also known as the law of refraction, describes how light rays change direction when they pass through the boundary between two different transparent media, such as air and glass. The law is named after the Dutch scientist Willebrord Snellius, who first formulated it in 1621.

The crew endured imprisonment and torture during their 11 months in captivity. All were awarded the Prisoner of War Medal, and all military personnel were additionally authorized the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon. Fireman Duane Hodges listed below was killed on the day the Pueblo was captured.
