CPL Traughber, USMC, was born on April 17 1946 in New Albany, Indiana to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Traughber. CPL Traughber was Special Communications Operator (MOS 2575) who was killed in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam as a result of multiple fragmentation wounds. At the time of the death he was assigned to Company E Support Battalion at Kamiseya Japan, Fleet Marine Force, Pacific.

November 7, 1969, NCTC Corry Station building 1084 was dedicated Traughber Hall. Attending the dedication was Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Traughber, the parents of CPL Traughber from Albany, Indiana, Col Douglas D. Petty, USMC, as the principal speaker and CAPT George P. McGinnis, USN, the Commanding Officer of NCTC Corry Station.
CPL Traughber received his cryptologic training at NCTC Corry Station.

As a life-long lover of the history of United States military and most of all the Navy and Marine Corps, and with a strong belief in both God and our country, I believe Corporal Traughber, together with his fellow United States Marines, is guarding the streets of Heaven.
