RMKS/1. In 1987, an award for cryptologic excellence was
created by Commander, Naval Security Group based upon a proposal
by the Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association to recognize U.S.
Navy and U.S. Marine Corps personnel for their superior
accomplishments in cryptologic support functions.

  1. Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber and U.S TENTH Fleet is pleased
to announce IT1(IW/SW) Holli N. Driesslein, USN, Navy Cyber
Defense Operations Command, as the 2020 ACSE winner. During her
nine years serving in the Information Warfare Community, Petty
Officer Driesslein has provided unparalleled support to the
cryptologic mission of her commands. Most recently, she led 28
analysts during the analysis of 242 malware samples and authored
10 high-priority malware forensic reports. Additionally, she
developed and implemented the first-ever maintenance and
training requirement pipelines consisting of 13 mission
essential courses for her Sailors assigned to two 400,000 dollar
custom built labs. Although this year’s U.S. Naval Cryptologic
Veterans Association convention had to be cancelled due to the
current emergency, IT1 Driesslein will be appropriately
recognized for her accomplishments in the very near future.

  1. The competition was particularly keen for this year’s
nominees and congratulations also go to the following nominees:

IT2(IW) Jonathan J. Hall, U.S. Navy Information Operations Command Bahrain
YN2 Junique A. Wright, U.S. Navy Information Operations Command Yokosuka

These outstanding information warriors and cryptologists exemplify leadership, initiative, resourcefulness, and dedication, and personify the highest traditions established for cryptologic excellence by the ACSE.

  1. Congratulations and well done! VADM T. J. White, USN,
Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command and U.S. TENTH Fleet.//
