CAPT John Watkins Selected as Deputy Commander C10F.

Captain John A. Watkins, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Tenth Fleet, Fort Meade, Maryland. Watkins is currently serving as chief of staff, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/Tenth Fleet, Fort Meade, Maryland.

Remembering USS Scorpion (SSN 589)

On May 22, 1968, The USS Scorpion (SSN 589), a Skipjack-class nuclear powered submarine, was lost with 99 crewmen.  Below is the Officers, Sailors and Civilian that lost their lives.

Remembering the Attack on USS Stark (FFG 31)

On May 17, 1987, the USS Stark (FFG 31) was struck by two Exocet anti-ship missiles fired from an Iraqi Mirage aircraft during the Iran-Iraq War, killing 37 Sailors and wounding 21.
