The following is a Radio Intelligence report is based on Japanese intercepted communications leading up and during the first couple of weeks of the Battle of Iwo Jima. The five officers listed at the beginning of the report are Japanese language officers that provided tactical I&W ISO the Iwo Jima invasion, later known as Operation Detachment.
