On February 7, 2020, Master Chief Nagle assumed the responsibilities of FCC/C10F Command Master Chief.

Command Master Chief, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command / U.S. TENTH Fleet

Command Master Chief Nagle, a native of Conesus, NY, attended basic training at RTC San Diego, CA in 1989. Upon graduation from basic training and the Non-Designated Airman course he reported to his first duty assignment at Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Two (VQ-2) in Rota, Spain.

While at VQ-2, he was advanced to Aviation Maintenance Administrationman Third Class and was selected to attend Cryptologic Technician (Technical) “A” School in Pensacola, FL. Master Chief Nagle’s first duty assignment as a CTT was at Naval Security Group Activity Pearl Harbor, HI from 1992 to 1996 where he served as an Electronic Warfare Support Measures Supervisor on 11 Direct Support Element missions to the FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet AORs. During this tour he earned his submarine dolphins and was accepted into the Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP) at the National Security Agency at Fort Meade, MD. He graduated from MESAP with honors and was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 1999.

From late 1999 to 2002, he served as the LCPO of the Technical ELINT Analysis lab at RAF Molesworth, UK and stood the Senior Maritime Watch Officer position at U.S. European Command’s Joint Analysis Center. In 2002 he reported back to Fort Meade, MD where he served as Lead Instructor and Course Manager for the Technical ELINT curriculum at the National Cryptologic School and earned the Master Training Specialist qualification. His next assignment was onboard USS Mitscher (DDG 57) in Norfolk, VA where he served as the LCPO of OT Division and Operations Department and as an Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator.

He was advanced to Senior Chief, earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist pin, and deployed to the FOURTH Fleet AOR. In 2009 he reported to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Norfolk, VA. While at NIOC he served as the LCPO of the Information Operations Deployer Department and the Operations Directorate, was advanced to Master Chief, and earned his Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist pin.

Following this tour, he reported to Commander, U.S. SECOND Fleet as the Electronic Warfare Action Officer and Operations Directorate LCPO. Upon the disestablishment of SECOND Fleet in September 2011, he reported to Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command where he served as the Fleet Electronic Warfare Readiness Master Chief and Intelligence & Information Warfare Directorate Senior Enlisted Advisor.

In 2013, he was selected for the Command Master Chief (CMC) Program. His first CMC tour was aboard USS Vella Gulf (CG 72) in Norfolk, VA where he served for the next three years and deployed to the SIXTH Fleet AOR.   During his follow-on CMC tour, he guided Task Force 1030/NIOC Norfolk through its transition to the Information Warfare Training Group. His next tour was as Region CMC of Naval District Washington on the Washington Navy Yard from August 2018 to January 2020. Master Chief Nagle reported Ft. Meade, MD in January 2020 where he currently serves as the CMC for Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. TENTH Fleet.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (143/Grey Group), the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course, MCPON’s Executive Leadership Symposium, and the KEYSTONE Command Senior Enlisted Leader in Combined and Joint Studies Course. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration and Management Studies from Excelsior College. His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Joint Service Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5).
