Fleet Master Chief, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command / U.S. TENTH Fleet
Master Chief Dee Allen is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She enlisted in the Navy through the delayed entry program as an undesignated Seaman Recruit. Upon graduation from Recruit Training Command, she was selected to attend Cryptologic Technician Administrative “A” School in Pensacola, FL. Master Chief Allen was then assigned to the National Security Agency/Central Security Service as the Administrative Assistant to the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Deputy Director of Telecommunications.
She then reported to NSGA Misawa, Japan where she served as Leading Petty Officer and Captain’s Writer. She then transferred to NSGA Hanza on the island of Okinawa, Japan where she served as the Administrative LPO, Captain’s Writer and Assistant Legal Officer. Her next tour was at the Navy Liaison Office at Fort Meade, Maryland where she served as Administrative LPO and was subsequently selected for special duty with Commander, Naval Security Group Inspector General’s Office. She then transferred to Commander-in-Chief Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as the Administrative Leading Chief Petty Officer for Director, Naval Security Group Pacific. While assigned, she was the Administrative Officer/Logistics Coordinator for the 24-member aircrew and Debrief/Assessment Team involved in the EP-3 air collision incident in 2001.
Master Chief Allen was then assigned to NSGA Pensacola where she served as the Administrative Officer, Legal Officer and Security Manager. Her follow on tour was onboard the USS FRANK CABLE (AS-40) where she served as Leading Chief Petty Officer for Executive Department. Master Chief Allen then reported to CNO’s Staff in Washington, D.C. where she served as the Deputy Executive Assist for the 11th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. She was then selected for the Chief of Naval Personnel Staff where she served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Office of Women’s Policy. During this tour, she volunteered for an Individual Augmentee assignment at Combined Joint Task Force, Horn of Africa, as the Senior Enlisted Leader and Security Manager.
Master Chief Allen then transferred to Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWO embarked onboard USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN-77) where she served as the Senior Enlisted Leader. Master Chief Allen then served as the Command Master Chief for USS OSCAR AUSTIN (DDG 79) home ported in Norfolk, VA. She then was assigned as the Installation Command Master Chief for Naval Support Activity South Potomac. She then was selected as the Regional Command Master Chief for Naval District Washington. She is currently the Command Master Chief for US Fleet Cyber Command/US TENTH Fleet.
She is a graduate of the CMC/COB Course, the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 134 (Gold Group), MCPON’s Executive Leadership Course and the Navy Senior Leadership Seminar. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice/Behavior and Social Science and a Masters of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland. Her personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), and a host of other decorations.
