Joseph served as the Copilot onboard the EC-121 (PR-21/BuNo 135749) Beggar Shadow aircraft. His body was one of two that were recovered.

Thanks for the reminder, that was a horrible day for all in the Crytology field and for the US, the families of the men who wend down with the aircraft.

I was a spook at Det Bravo in 1968. I remember Ensign Ribar copiloting with LIeunenant Commander Kalinowski. So many good airmen and spooks sacrificed and apparently unavenged.
