After a mandatory six months separation from government service after retirement, Master Chief Anderson went to work for the Naval Security Group Detachment, Pensacola, Florida, on April 27, 1987. He was the third member of the command actually on board. He has been through the initial set-up of the detachment that started in one of the Naval Technical Training Centers buildings, the modular building complex (trailers) that were set up in what is now the parking lot of the current facility, the Naval Information Operations Command, Pensacola. He retired from, what was then, NSGA Pensacola in March of 2001.
Master Chief Anderson was the Executive Director of the Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association from 1997 until 2012. He retired from that position and has worked at the CRYPTOLOGIC Command Display onboard Corry Station, Pensacola from 2001 until the present.
He was married to the former Angie Sanchez of Hollister, California.
Happy Birthday Master Chief!
Master Chief Anderson was born exactly one year after the Naval Security Group was established.
