Master Chief Tschida biography follows:

Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and raised in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Master Chief Tschida graduated from Park High School in June 1990. He enlisted in the United States Navy and reported to Recruit Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois, in November 1990.

Master Chief Tschida completed Firecontrol ‘A’ School before reporting to his first ship, the USS MERRILL (DD-976) in San Diego, California, where he served as MK 86 Gun Firecontrol Technician. Transferring to Dahlgren, Virginia in May 1994, he completed Aegis Spy 1 ‘C’ School. He subsequently commissioned the USS JOHN S. MCCAIN and was assigned to the CF01 Work Center. His other sea duty assignments include: USS PORT ROYAL (CG-73) as Work Center Supervisor and USS RUSSELL (DDG-59) as CF Division LCPO, Systems Test Officer, Combat Systems Maintenance Manager, Combat Systems Senior Enlisted, Combat Systems LCPO, and Command Fitness Leader.

His shore duty assignments include Firecontrol ‘A’ School Instructor and LPO, and Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, where he served as Recruit Division Commander (3 Divisions), Ship 5 LCPO, Recruit Division Commander ‘C’ School LCPO, And Sexual Assault Victim Intervention Officer.

Selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in January 2009, he was assigned to Transient Personnel Unit Great Lakes, Illinois as the Command Senior Chief, where he was advanced to Master Chief and converted to Command Master Chief.  He served as the Command Master Chief of VP-4 in Kaneohe Hi. From Aug 2010-July 2012, Command Master Chief of Navy Recruiting District Chicago from July 2012-june 2015, he now serves as the Command Master Chief of Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii.

He holds an Associate of Arts degree from Coastline Community College. He is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 58) and the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 145 Purple). In addition to multiple unit and campaign awards, Master Chief Tschida’s personal awards include the Navy Meritorious Service Medal(2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal (5 awards). He has also qualified as Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist.
