Although it may have been mandated to help our community achieve greater relevance in line with the CNO’s new priorities, the opportunity to name one’s self and have that name widely accepted is a rare opportunity indeed. Change is good.
From time-to-time, the team at Station HYPO will author a blog series. Each series chronicles the ways in which Naval Cryptology played a crucial role in a time of conflict in our Nation’s history.
In support of this effort we have added a series section where series, once posted, will be made available for easy reference.

Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 2nd Class Edward Montoya at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey Calif. is one of only four enlisted Sailors in the Navy to receive a 2015 Secretary of the Navy Innovation award. Montoya received the award along with fellow members of NPS’ Advanced Robotics Systems Engineering Laboratory (ARSENL).
