The ACSE award is an annual commemorative award, administered by COMFLTCYBERCOM as requested by the members of the Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association (NCVA), which honors the outstanding Navy and Marine Corps enlisted person who exemplifies excellence in the performance of Information Warfare and Cryptologic support functions.

1. This message solicits nominations for the annual Award for Cryptologic
Support Excellence (ACSE).  The ACSE award is an annual commemorative award,
administered by COMFLTCYBERCOM as requested by the members of the
Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association (NCVA), which honors the outstanding
Navy and Marine Corps enlisted person who exemplifies excellence in
the performance of Information Warfare and Cryptologic support
functions.  Commands will use reference (a) for background, submission
requirements and format.  All nominations must be submitted
electronically at the following link:  NSANET: http:(slash)
(slash)otrg.usn.nsa.ic.gov/.  The submission process is MS Word
friendly and can be easily cut and pasted onto the website.
An example of the website page is included in reference (a).  The basic
submission must be unclassified but a classified supplement can
be added as a separate attachment.

2. The required sections are:

Part I – personal data;
Part II – chronological listing of education/schools/military training;
Part III – significant contributions/professional achievements
during previous calendar year (detailed);
Part IV – community and off-duty activities/contributions
Part V – conclusion/commanding officers comments (this section
must have the CO’s electronic signature, scanned pdf, etc.)

a. One page biography.

b. Classified supplement (if desired, up to TS SCI).
c. One color 5×7 portrait style photo (chest and above), plain
background with Navy nominees in Service Dress Blues, uncovered
and Marine Corps nominees in Service alpha uniform, uncovered,
digital photo will be accepted but must be at least 300 dpi resolution.

If mailing original picture, it must be mailed and received by the

due date or the nomination package will not be considered.

3. Faxed or mailed copies of the basic nomination package will

not be accepted.  An OPNAV 1650/3 is not required as stated in
ref a.

4. Commands are also reminded that the NCVA ACSE award is for

Cryptologic/Information Warfare support excellence for the
previous calendar year and is usually limited to the CTM rating
and IT and YN personnel who are engaged in Information Warfare
and Cryptologic associated duties and Marine Corps personnel
with similar duties.

5. ACSE packages are due to FLTCYBERCOM by 26 Feb 16.

 

6. For units where there is no connectivity to the NSANET or a

broadband issue, the submission can be sent via email to:
fcc_c10f_nsah_awards(at)navy.mil with each unclassified
document as a separate attachment.  FLTCYBERCOM awards will
then post the nomination.//
