*************TAPS*************
The bugle has sounded taps once more, to call our friends to another shore.
Some were strangers and some we knew, but each one wore the Navy blue.
We only saw them once a year, as we would get together here….
We’d tell sea stories and have a beer, to enjoy the laughter and good cheer.
To bond with someone we just met, to share the times we won’t forget.
They’ve gone on to a calmer sea, to sail the heavens for eternity.
We will miss them one and all, those proud sailors, who stood so tall.
Don’t be sad that we’re apart for they are with us in our heart.
There is a bond with Navy men, like no other I have known.
So look around you shipmates, you will never be alone.
*************TAPS*************
Rest in Peace, your watch is over, you have been properly relieved.
