Rear Admiral Don McDowell

Rear Admiral McDowell was born in Evansville, Indiana on 21 November 1930.  After graduation from Indian University in 1953, where he received his AB degree, he entered the Naval Officer Candidate Program at Newport, Rhode Island and was commissioned Ensign in June 1954.

Remembering CTTC Christian Michael. Pike

CTTC Christian Michael Pike                  November 19, 1981 – March 13, 2013

CTTC Christian M. Pike was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1981, thousands of miles from American shores, but he discovered at an early age he was part of a family that had a distinguished legacy of service within the United States military.  His maternal grandfather had served in the Navy in World War II.  His uncle, who became a major influence in his life, retired as a colonel in the Green Berets.  Finally, and perhaps most importantly, his mother Diana spent over a decade in the U.S. Army’s cryptologic service.

1888 – 1975
Captain Comstock was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on 15 November 1888, the son of Jay Comstock and Mrs. Mary E. (Wells) Comstock. He attended Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, before his appointment to the Naval Academy from his native state in 1907.
